Be prepared : Dressed with food in the fridge and water in the tank!

I had a dream two nights ago and in this dream the youth of our church came to my home. I was in my pyjamas. But as they came I went to the toilet and got dressed. I also found that there wasn't food in the fridge or water in the water tank. But the youth made themselves at home and I was quite at peace with that and hospitality and relationship happened. Next I saw that I was sitting at table on the street with other people eating, and as we sat, I saw rivers of water flowing out of our houses onto the streets to the people who needed water.

As I pondered this I believe what the Lord is saying is that the youth revival is about to happen very shortly and we need to be a people who are ready, prepared, dressed in the clothes of righteousness, not sleeping, with food being the word of God to feed them, and the water tanks full so full of the Holy Spirit, and as we rest, like in Psalm 23 beside still waters he will "set a feast before us in the presence of our enemies" & out of the relationship and fellowship with each other, it will flow onto the streets where the presence of the Lord is needed the most.

The rats where running....

Last night I saw this picture where we went into this room to collect stuff with lots of other people and all these rats ran away as we came in and the stuff in the room was just all bits of rubbish now and the word that came to me was Matt 6:19 "Don't store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." It is so easy to think you are storing up treasure in heaven but the reality is that if you are wanting praise from man in any way then you are actually receiving your inheritance now. When you work for the Lord the things done in secret I believe, is what is stored up in heavenly places awaiting a time of release and when that release comes is unto the Lord, it may be on the earth while you are alive but it may also be later....

Continuing on in Luke - Chapter 22:40 "Pray that you will not fall into temptation"

A couple of things that struck me this morning from Luke. Jesus says to his disciples in 22:40 "Pray that you will not fall into temptation" , and then a few verses later while praying on the Mount of Olives Jesus, 'prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground'. (22:44) His prayer was obviously quite intense and I thought how much of my prayer is so intense that my praying produces sweat? But the prayer he said to the disciples was 'pray that you will not fall into temptation'. And then again in verses 46 "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." This call to pray that we don't fall into temptation I believe is so needed. It is when we pray that we realise the different areas that we have fallen into temptation in such seemingly little things, but over time they become big things. Is the church a cafe? Did you go to be served or to serve?

I had a dream this morning where I saw that I was working in a cafe. It was busy, there were people coming and going and we didn’t have everything we needed, we still needed a barista, some customers were helping cook the steak for the hamburgers that Jim was cooking as Jim was rushed off his feet. We needed people to serve the people coming in as I was dealing with all the different ones coming and going. I saw that people were sitting down in a seat but actually weren’t there to get food, they were just using the seats even though they were not using the cafe. I saw a council officer come in to inspect things and she saw we still needed a barista and she knew people and was going to help us to find one. There was an older man there who was smoking a cigar and I was keen to have a drag off his cigar. People were wandering through our private home at the back of the cafe. The fires too hot!

Sometimes the things we go through we think aren't God, and whether they are or not God, God uses everything for our good, (if we allow it). And often we are tempted to walk out or walk away from God and His people in the process when things become too tough. We don't know how to handle it, we think all sorts of things that don't line up with the bible, with truth, we question, we doubt, we blame, whatever it is that is being challenged in our life when it becomes too hard, we are often tempted to quit or to walk away from the situation/s that is/are causing pain. I know I have several times spat the dummy so to speak, in my marriage, in my church, with my daughter, in relationships, when I have wanted to quit and walk away. But thankfully the Lord holds me, I have my bad day and then something will come that will encourage me to keep going. "Put out into the deep water, and let down the nets for a catch"

We have been given a picture recently a couple of times and then again it came on Wednesday night another confirmation of basket loads of fish, a catch so huge. This same Wednesday I had also read the scripture from Luke 5: 4-11 "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch". Simon answered "Master we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets." When they had done so, they caught such a large humber of fish that their nets began to break. So they signalled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. I believe there is a fresh call to put out your net, not only for Jim and I and for the ministry the Lord has given us, but also for each one of you.
