Missions
Missions is very much on our heart and in Lord, we will go anywhere.  We have been very blessed to be able to minister into several nations and find that our hearts are bigger than physically we are able to do or be for all the needs out there.  Covid has restricted travel in the last couple of years but believe we will be on the move again soon God willing.

We get asked regularly for practical help particularly from Africa and India and much of which we cannot help and only  spiritually.  However we would love to be able to put much more into missions, should finances, time and availability be there.  We love people in all nations and love to go where God would send us and so we trust in Him for his leading and guiding in where and when.

Please stand in prayer with us for these nations, for the lost and lonely, for God to meet every need.  Thankyou!

If you have never done a missions trip why no consider going on one?

There are many reasons why to do a short term missions trip but essentially it opens your eyes to things that you have not seen or experienced, it enlarges your world view.

  • It challenges you to step out of the box that you may find yourself in without even realising it.
  • Often short term missions trips depending on what you are doing, tend to be more about what the Lord is showing you and teaching you personally in your relationship with Him.
  • Also it gives opportunity for learning within a team environment which in itself shows you things about yourself and how you deal with people.
  • It is also a blessing to be able to bless, refresh and bring things to those people who you are going to.

There are a lot of benefits of doing a short term missions trip and I have only listed a few that just come to mind.

We are blessed to have join us on Wednesday the 25th at Puketaha Hall this amazing powerful woman of the Lord - Linda Hartzell - She  travels internationally as a missionary / evangelist and conference speaker.  She has ministered in over 45 nations of the world and has been in ministry for 30 years. Don't be deceived - be careful who you are following

I had this dream the other day where I saw a whole bunch of my friends following after a lady who was popular and well known and they were going to hear her but as they got in her possession she was evil and was out to kill them, she was deliberately deceiving them. I found myself in this dream warning the people not to follow her and so now I find myself warning people about being deceived and not to follow after people. We are not to follow after people, we are to follow after God and Jesus Christ.  We are not to look to people for what they can give us but we are to look to God.  If we look to God and read his word then it is harder to become deceived because the word of God is truth and it reveals truth as we read it and we find the areas of error that may be coming in. I find myself sometimes heading down a certain direction and becoming a little unbalanced in my theology (my beliefs) until I read the word again which brings me back in line ...

Latest Prayer Update

Since writing last – We continue to pray about the tent meeting but the Lord seems to continue to have that on hold as I believe he has another way of doing the same thing but in a new way where the whole body will be used and so we wait until all the pieces come together.   Please be patient with us in this. Africa – We continue to have words given to us about Africa and so the Lord is definitely talking about Africa but he seems to be widening the vision with it all, not just Malawi.   It seems more like at this stage visiting a number of African Countries wherever the Lord leads, empowering people – a bit like the last China trip but for longer and more countries and so too we wait for all the pieces to fit together. Prov 4:23 "Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life"

"Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"  Yeah right! Peoples' comments and judgements toward us hurt very much and hinder our walk with the Lord and with others, but the Lord would say this morning from Proverbs 4:23 to "guard our heart for it is the wellspring of life." God judges very differently than man and we see in the story of 1 Samuel 16 where the Prophet Samuel is called to anoint a new King and in verses 6&7  "Samuel saw Eliab and thought, 'Surely the Lord's anointed stands here before the Lord'.  But the Lord said to Samuel 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him.  The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.  Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." A love that lays its life down for another.....

Something that Jim and I are working through is the understandings of grace and freedom that is flying around at the moment and how that effects our lives and how we live it out on a daily basis with those around us. We live in a society that is instant, that we have what we want whenever we want it.  That its all about me and my freedoms of thinking, of speech, of rights as dictated by the law under a democratic system. So how does that effect how we behave and think as a Christian under a 'Kingdom' system of authority, of servanthood and yielding, dare I put the word 'submitting', choosing to be a 'bond slave' for Christ? Of surrending our rights so that the person alongside is built up and not made to feel worse because of where they are at which is not the same place as me?
