This morning I had a dream and in the dream I saw I was shifting a nest of blackbirds as they were in a bad place that was going to get destroyed shortly, but as I went to shift them, the Father of the babies came and tried to attack me.  I wasn't going to hurt them, just shift them so they wouldn't get damaged. Of course the Father was just trying to protect what was his and thought I was bringing harm to his family, but actually my intent was to help them. Often we can have the wrong mindset about a situation as illustrated by this picture.  Both had the intent of heart to help and protect, but because of the mindset of how we see things, often our reactions comes from our point of view without even taking the time to understand why another is doing what they are doing. 2 Cor 2:10  "The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.  For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them."  We often find ourselves fighting with those w...

The other week I had a dream and I was taking my child to a new private school and while there, I was invited by the teachers for lunch.  But just before lunch I decided to go to the toilet, along with other teachers.  But what I noticed was I was on a toilet that was like that of those we have had experience on in the Tibetan Plateau in China, open, exposed and very public, no embarrasement but a part of every day life, but the other teachers were on the style we have here in New Zealand, private and  a personal cubicle. As I pondered this I was reminded of a book title the Lord gave me a while ago about Kiwi Culture vs Kingdom Culture.  And the picture in the dream above illustrated a wonderful of example of how easily people can be misunderstood because of the culture that they have lived in and by the experiences that one has had which determines world view, verses that of what is actually a Kingdom culture. We are so very thankful for the new resource centre that we can make it 'home'.   A place of refreshing, healing, restoration, a home base for those coming and going, a safe place for anyone.  Church in the community/marketplace. We would like to see planter boxes, a barbecue, outside chairs and tables, children's play equipment etc outside to make it a place where people can come and take time out, perhaps weed in the garden, have a coffee, get some prayer etc. feel at home and yet a part of the body, a place that feels safe, feels like they can be involved and yet 'church' all at the same time.   So we are asking if you would like to contribute to this vision, whether you have extra planter boxes, or perhaps vegetable plants, garden plants etc.  Then we would love the excess.  Also we are in need for finances to help purchase some media equipment and some of the above, so we can record better to go out 'live' for the wider body etc.  Please see the donati...

To speak or not to speak – this is the question? Or perhaps it should be ‘how to speak?’ We live in a world where the rights of man are rising, the voices of differences of opinion are growing stronger and louder.   The justice of the world, right and wrong as seen through our own eyes, starting to arise.  I n this nation of NZ where "tall poppy syndrome' has been an issue as the accepted norm of the past, people are breaking out, rising up and learning to use their voice.   As rightly we ought as Christians.  All good things to happen, all needed to happen.   For the bride to stand, awaken and arise and to shine for righteousness and justice.    To stand up for the poor and needy, to speak on behalf of those who can't. With anything new, you have the swings in the spectrums as we all learn how to walk in a new way.   We say things more strongly than we ought, or perhaps we say things weaker where watering it down and don’t come across to effe...

I shared last night about 1 Cor 15:36 "What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body..." I was preaching on it last night and it will come up in video form later in the week on the GRM sight, mainly reflecting on we can sow things one way, but God raises it up as HE determines how it should look. But this morning I got more revelation which will be quite obvious to some, but to me it struck me afresh. When we sow something it get's buried, it cannot be pulled back up. It no longer has 'connection' with 'me' if you like. It gets 'covered over' unable to be pulled up. And yet I recognise in my own life how we can sow something but there are still 'strings attached' as such as we often are still determining or expecting it be rai...

Our most value asset is:  TIME I don't know about you but I find it is easy to get distracted and drawn away from what I was intending to do or where my focus needed to be. I often find myself getting 'entangled in civilian affairs' as it says in the scripture above.  But the discernment is knowing if that is God's interruption for the day or a distraction that takes me away from the purpose and plan that God would have me walk in. I think we can often miss those God opportunities and God calls on our life because of distractions. " A distraction is something we do that moves us away  from what we really want." Distractions bring confusion, feeling like you are in a muddle, not knowing where you are going, often feeling like you are busy but probably not really achieving a great deal. The opposite of distraction is TRACTION. Traction is an action that moves us toward what we really want.  Momentum and movement toward the desires of the heart.  But often we don...

 The Resource Centre has moved!!!    The new home of the Resource Centre is located at 452 Ulster Street. From August, we welcome you to pop in & see us, enjoy a coffee, grab some resources & prayer if needed. If you don't have transport, the bus stops right outside our front door!  Such a blessing. I was led this morning to the book of 1 Samuel and the first thing that jumped out at me was the phrase "year after year". How many of us are like this.  We have so much and yet we are still crying out to the Lord for things that have not happened or come to pass yet.   And we look at others and see what they have and compare and it causes us to not see the love that is poured out to us. Hannah's husband would say to her "Hannah, why are you weeping? ... Why are you downhearted?  Don't I mean more to you than ten sons? The Lord would say this morning.  Am I not enough?.   See my love poured out to you.  See what I have given you.  Come to me, find your peace and your joy in me, not in what you have or don't have, what is or isn't done yet, but in me alone.    Those 'things' don't fulfil you but come to me and find rest for your soul.  I will satisfy you and give you rest and peace for your soul.  Psalm 62  Truly my soul finds r...

The words I have been hearing of late in my spirit are "Impossible Made Possible". This can be really challenging when we are believing for things and as yet don't seem to have come to pass.  Especially when you are tired, feel disappointed, no longer feel like you have the faith to believe even for a little thing. You know the word of God, you, in your head believe the word of God, but the heart seems to be far from it as it seems the hearts works by what we see and hear rather than what we believe.  Our emotions often can dictate a situation rather than the truth. But then the Lord speaks and reminds us of "Impossible Made Possible" and He encourages us to believe again, to hope again, to trust again where all of those things perhaps have been whittled away due to circumstances.  He encourages us in a small thing that comes that perhaps we weren't expecting.  A testimony we hear that speaks straight to our situation or someone else's, a person saying s...

Reading a wonderful Psalm this morning, Psalm 31:14-24. My times are in your hands... v16 Let your face shine on your servant, save me in your unfailing love. Let me not be put to shame, Lord, for I have cried out to you; v19  How abundant are the good things  that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them  from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling  from accusing tongues. Praise be to the Lord, for he showed me the wonders of his love when I was in a city under siege. In my alarm I said, " I am cut off from your sight!" Several years ago Jim and I owned a caravan at Pauanui Holiday Park.  It was a permanent caravan that was ours that we could go over to anytime.  But after owning it for a few years, the next season we were in dictated that we sell that caravan.  We have gone back since and wandered through the campsite remembering our times there and all the good times it held, and at times wishing we still had that, but now in going there, we can barely recognise the place we had, because it too has changed so much and it is not how it was.  Recently Jim and I went down to Queenstown where our daughter now lives.  But it was an area that I went to for some of my time as a child.  I grew up for a time spending my holidays at Lake Hayes in Arrowtown.  And now after going back there all these years later, can once again barely recognise what it was like in the past now things have changed and developed so much since that time.  The once carefree memories of a child...

Apathy or expectancy? If you want see the view, then you're going to have to climb the mountain. This morning praying with Jim and we realised that we have slipped into some 'apathy' about a few things. And when we slip into that place, there is a sense that we have given it over, or left it for God to do with a come what may attitude, instead of stepping out, preparing, planning and advancing in our heart and mind when He has already given us the yes and amen and He is waiting for us to step into it. I believe too many of us leave it up to God, give it over to God, in a sense abdicating the authority He has given to us to rule and reign and take dominion on the earth. A word that I have heard being given to the body of Christ of late is to 'wake up' but what does that look like on a day to day basis. And for myself it's the faith, the action and the expectancy, all coming together from a place of 'rest' and 'trust' in God, that there is a yes ...

A couple of weeks ago I have had several visions which I believe is a prophetic picture of what God is currently doing and what He is about to do.   Fi rstly, I saw ahead on the highway a huge explosion with black smoke billowing up and as I came to it I saw people had been burnt and I could smell the smell of burnt flesh.   Our God is consuming fire (Heb 12:29).  His love is in the fire.   Something the Lord has been talking to us about is the fall of the acts of the flesh, the strength of man.  This vision I saw was a representation that of the fire of Gods love is coming and going to burn away the things of the flesh, the things that were not of the Lo rd, the things that may have been good in their time but today is a new day.   Perhaps the familiar things we are so used to that we don't even know it's there.  The way we might speak, the way we might act, the way we might respond that are familiar with us but aren't necessarily of the Kingdom natur...

I have been reading through the book of Song of Songs and a couple of scriptures that jumped out at me as I read it this time was all vineyards. In Song of Songs it reads 1:6  "My mother's sons were angry with me and made me take care of the vineyards; my own vineyard I had to neglect." So often we can be looking after other people's vineyards, other peoples fields, and our own can come into a state of neglect, often without even realising it.  In the scripture above it writes they 'made me take care of',  but often it's not other people making it, rather we sometimes can't say no,  or perhaps we have lost sight of what is important, or we have just got busy and we haven't even noticed. I know as a mother we often look after our children's welfare before our own.  In our job we can look after the welfare of the business we are working for, or if we are the boss, the employees in our care.  In marriage we become familiar with one another that ...

This morning the Lord revealed to me that there is a battle going on for destinies, for promises, for dreams that are still yet to be fulfilled.  There is a battle going on for the dreams that He has put on our heart and we need to stand up and fight the fight of faith and declare what the Lord would declare over these dreams and destines that are waiting for us to walk in and for those things we have already begun to walk in that is this time is being contested. In the natural there is a fight going on for life and death, and so too in the spiritual.  Life and death over the promises and future destines that He has declared over each one of us. Now is the time to stand and fight and declare life and truth to those things He has put on your heart, those things that have been prophetically declared over you. It is almost as though the focus has been on Covid 19 and what's happening in the natural and so things are 'slipping away' without us even realising it as our ey...

This morning I was planting some plants in my garden.  Some plants I had already and they had been waiting for me to put them in, others I bought just prior to lock down knowing that if I didn't plant it now I would have nothing later in the season when I needed it.  So in the initial rush to get into 'lockdown', I went to the plant shop thinking about the future.  Right now we as a people need to be encouraged to look at the future and hope that we have, not just focused on the 'now' of our situations.   So planting these plants this morning the question came "What are we planting now that we will be expecting a harvest from later?"   If we as a people are expecting an inheritance or a harvest further down the line, then ...

Something I realised in my recent trip away to the Canterbury region is again the confirmation and call of my heart to see the bride raised up to be who she is called to be. A pure spotless bride who is ready for her beloved and walking in everything He has promised us as His authority here on the earth.  I realised afresh as I listen to different people, hear and see different reasons as to why people aren't going to church, or perhaps have recently moved churches for some reason, basically peoples hurts and frustrations regarding 'Church', that there is a disconnect in how people see things and how the word of the Lord the bible teaches us in how we ought to love one another and forgive one another.  Hence why we are seeing a 'powerless' church.  The word says that if we bite and devour one another we will be destroyed (Gal 5:15) All of us have a heart and passion, yours might be for the lost, it might be for the single parents, or the sick, etc. but the Lord...
