Pardon me, my Lord but.....

It's been a challenging few days as I have sat and questioned the Lord on many things. Like Gideon in chapter 6:13 where he writes:
"Pardon me, my lord," But if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?  Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, 'Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?  But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian."
The Lord turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand.  Am I not sending you?'Pardon me, my lord,"  Gideon replied, "but how can I save Israel?  My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family." The Lord answered, "I will be with you and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive."

But in the asking and seeking come the answers.  If Gideon can ask the questions so can you and I.  If our God is a covenant God who is faithful to his promises and he cannot lie and all his promises are yes and amen and its not dependant on our goodness or striving to make it happen, then sometimes we need to ask him some questions and He is not slow in answering!
Earlier last week the Lord took me to Jeremiah 33:3 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know'.  When God answers sometimes he reveals things in our heart we didn't know was there which is a good thing because it brings us into truth, it makes us face some things perhaps we haven't wanted to face and bring us to health and healing.

As I have asked and God has answered, he has put before me the reality of the 'vision' of the Apostolic Resource Centre, the 'land and buildings' and for the first time it has come into view the property that ticks all the boxes that we have had listed on our vision page since 2010 and I find even in the seeing the promise in reality that my faith to 'go again' even though it is right in front of me, has no energy to make it happen. We had just given away all the chairs we have had stored and carpet that we had been given over the years toward the vision and then the Lord brings it back into view.  Sometimes we need to let things go so that God can do it the way he has planned.

So I share this with you,
a)   to ask for prayer for ourselves as I find myself with little strength and little faith to 'go again'.
b)   to ask for prayer for this venue we have found that if it is the Lords will over this property then he would hold it for us, bringing confirmation that everything would come into line. That the finances would come through according to the strategy the Lord would give.
c)  to encourage You who is reading this that perhaps you need also to 'go again' and not give up as the Lord has said through many prophetic voices that 2020 is a year of great excitement in the body of Christ, promises being fulfilled and unprecedented miracles taking place, so whatever is your need today then there is a miracle waiting for you.  You only need to ask.

Matt 9:28-29
"Do you believe that I am able to do this?"
"Yes Lord" they replied.
Then he touched their eyes and said
"According to your faith let it be done to you."
and their sight was restored.

"A man's enemies will be the members of his own household" Matt 10:36

Recently we have been pondering how to deal with situations in our family that don't line up with the word. What action do we need to take?  Are we being too harsh?  Do we accept the behaviour or be considered by those around us as "too radical" or "too black and white"?  "Where is grace in all of this? How do we love the sinner but hate the sin?  What about forgiveness?  What is the role of discipline?   What makes that sin any worse than lying?  What is true love?  And there are a lot more questions going through the mind in how to work through this and know God's will and desire for the situation and the person. And firstly to say we have not come to any conclusions and are growing and learning day by day in this but I want to throw it out there. In Matt 10:34-39 says "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth.  I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.  For I have come to turn "a man against his father, ...

The biting off of the poisonous finger & and the underground spring being released

Recently I have had two pictures which now the Lord is bringing a fullness of understanding to. In the first vision I saw me biting off the tip of the pointing finger that was black and poisonous and I just knew it was demonic. And the second vision I had only a couple of days ago was of a garden that was unkempt, dry and derelict that suddenly we found an underground irrigations system to and we turned it on and it started to rain and everything came back to life again. And then this scripture was given to me over the weekend that I only saw this morning that has brought confirmation to what I believe the Lord is saying. When there is a poisonous part of the body unless we do something with it, it will infect the rest of the body, like gangrene sometimes we have to take serious measures in order for the rest of the body not to become ill.  And although it seems extreme at the time, it is necessary to stop any further infection from spreading.  And it was very much like ...

Obedience and Commitment are big things in Gods Kingdom

Reading in Acts 7 this morning the story through Stephen of Abraham being told by God to " Leave your country and your people and go the the land I will show you"   So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living.  He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground.  But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land, even though at that time Abraham had no child." As I reflected on this and the journey of Abraham stepping out in faith into a land that he received no inheritance in but a promise of what was to come for his descendants of which we live in the fruit of that, I thought of todays generations in which often is only doing things that we want to do or that will benefit us personally as we live for 'today' not worrying about tomorrow.  A sense of if it feels good then do it, if it doesn't then we will move on -  perhap...

"I am ruined for the ordinary"

“I am ruined for the ordinary” A statement that can possibly be to some, come from a place of judgement, or it can be from a place of there is more in the Kingdom of God that I am yet to experience or understand, revelation that I have tasted of something that actually shows me that I have not tasted of anything yet.  A place where there is such a contentment and joy in what I have seen and longed to see and yet a revelation that there is way more "beyond what I think, ask and imagine" (Eph 3:20) and one that spurs me on to seek and discover all the fullness that could be ours in the Kingdom of God. When we as Christians see other Christians going places or experiencing things that we don’t understand or perhaps we have not yet moved in, we can either become jealous of that person and judge and bring them down to our level, exclude them from our lives or we can choose to be excited by what is happening and be encouraged and spurred on in the Lord for the more than ca...

Psalm 66

Often we blame the devil or other people for our situations and circumstances but in Psalm 66 it tells a different story. v10  For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance. Often the Lord allows us to go through things so that our trust is not in man but in God. When things happen we often find ourselves blaming others or God for our situations but in the Lord he turns everything for good, if we allow him too, he brings us into a spacious place. v16  Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or wit...

Ponderings today 16 Dec

Whilst we may not agree with everything that is preached from the pulpit, there is always something that we can learn either about the Lord or about ourselves and our responses to it. Lets not be a people to whom are easily offended and move on without learning what it is that the Lord would have us learn in the different situations.  I read a wonderful scripture this morning that really encouraged me as one who often feels arrows in the back in the spirit from peoples jud gements towards me, which God really spoke to me about and hope that it would encourage you too if you feel this way. As it is not us who receive the arrows from people but the Lord (v4) But also reminds me not to be a person that speaks about others behind their back as words are powerful and the tongue either brings life or death. And it is so easily done without often thinking about it. And as easily as I feel arrows, others would feel arrows from me.  Lord forgive us our sin as we forgive others theirs. ...
