The next step - Teaching people to move in the freedom of the Spirit

This morning I woke up with a dream where I was teaching people how to walk in the freedom of the Spirit and so  I believe the Lord is asking me to teach people how to do this and in so doing, we share our story of where it all begun for us and how did we get to where we are now.    This is a question that is sometimes posed to me and in beginning to share our journey I do so because I believe what is going to come is a move of the spirit in such a way that it will transform nations, as we become a people of the Spirit and not of the flesh.  Where as we step out in the things of the Spirit, God is going to move powerfully even though it is not of the usual form or the way we have seen it before, but we know it is of God and the fruit testifies to the presence of God.  The fruit of the spirit of Gal 6, the characteristics & image of God coming out in peoples lives, of healings happening in the midst without anyone laying on of hands because the presence of God is so tangible, and people are set free from bondages and delivered simply because where the Light of God is, the darkness has to flee – it cannot stay. (1 John 1:5  “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”)
Where people become a people no longer sitting on the fence in their relationship with God but either being hot or cold.

We share our journey out of complete humility with God and what he has taught us that could help others to come into what we believe is coming, not because we have anything more than anyone else, but simply because the Lord is asking me to teach people what I have learnt.  The word that the Lord has been speaking to me about recently is it “Position Yourself” and I believe we are in a time where we need to position ourselves for what is going to come.  Yesterday I was at a meeting and a prayer was given for who needed wealth, but as people were being prayed for I felt also this weight of responsibility that came with receiving much wealth.  We all want wealth for whatever reason, that is between you and God, but with great wealth there is great responsibility and if we desire, ask & believe to have it, then we need to be prepared for it to come.  The Lord showed me several years ago that great wealth was going to come into our hands and hence actually why we started up Glory Release Ministries as a charitable trust because we knew that the wealth that was going to come was going to be used for Kingdom purposes and so we have ‘positioned ourselves’ in order for that to come.  We have yet to see it but are believing for it and so stepped out in faith and action for what we believe for.   The Lord says that to whom much is given much is expected.  We as a body of Christians have been given so much and now we need to position ourselves in a way that we are using everything the Lord has given ourselves for His purposes however that may look. 

And so as I begin on the journey of offering what the Lord has taught us to others in learning to move  in the freedom of the Spirit, keep an eye out for  the new blogs and feel free to encourage others to read them.  Please pray for me as I step out in faith in this arena.  Please pray that the Lord would show me the scriptures he would want me to use.  Please pray Matt 15:14  “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled by the roots.” in peoples lives and in my own.   Please pray that I would not be a blind person leading another into a pit but that the Lord would given revelation that would make it clear and understandable to those who read what he shows me.
Please pray that peoples hearts and minds would open up to the wind of the spirit touching their lives and changing mindsets and making them available for what the Lord is wanting to bring in our nation and the nations of the world.

The garage, a place of storage, a place of dealing with things later when time allows, a place often  of mess.  That's whats in our garage anyway. I woke up out of my sleep last night with this 'there's something in the garage'.  So at midnight I woke up Jim and got him out checking out the garage and I found the cars had been left unlocked outside with the windows down, the water heater in the prayer room (one of our garages) was still on from the prayer time that morning, milk on the bench and so thankful that I was woken to check things out. Is the church a cafe? Did you go to be served or to serve?

I had a dream this morning where I saw that I was working in a cafe.   It was busy, there were people coming and going and we didn’t have everything we needed, we still needed a barista, some customers were helping cook the steak for the hamburgers that Jim was cooking as Jim was rushed off his feet. We needed people to serve the people coming in as I was dealing with all the different ones coming and going.   I saw that people were sitting down in a seat but actually weren’t there to get food, they were just using the seats even though they were not using the cafe.   I saw a council officer come in to inspect things and she saw we still needed a barista and she knew people and was going to help us to find one. There was an older man there who was smoking a cigar and I was keen to have a drag off his cigar. People were wandering through our private home at the back of the cafe.   The cafe remained open because people kept coming.   But I was shown that if I did...

Today's complacency will lead to tomorrows captivity

While Jim & I were in bible college training to go on to the mission field, one thing we learnt was that we needed to be continual learners.  And over time I have found if I am not learning, if I am not growing in the Lord in some area of my life, then more than likely I have stepped into a place of pride without even realising it or have become 'comfortable' and content with where things are at. To be a continual learner is to position yourself that you are continually growing, being challenged in your thinking, perhaps being called to step out in something you have never done before that you know God is speaking to you about.  It's a place of questioning yourselves "why am I not seeing what I believe for yet?" in the Lord, those promises perhaps that He has already spoken about, and then stepping into them in faith trusting that God will lead the way. Expectations and frustrations

Last night I had this dream and I saw myself going up the mountain with my husband and as we went up the mountain to the snow I saw the most beautiful waterfall flowing in the bush and the scenery was just beautiful and as we reached base camp there were many people waiting to go on the ski lift to the mountain but they were having to wait because as I watched the snow was melting so fast because the sun was coming out so strong the the snow was melting like right before your eyes and people were no longer able to ski.  People were getting frustrated because they had come to go skiing and now no longer were able to, but for others like myself I so was enjoying the scenery that because the snow was melting there was so much beauty all around.  At the same time there was aeroplanes flying around doing acrobatic flying in the sky and other people were in stands watching the planes flying around. Continuing on in Luke - Chapter 22:40 "Pray that you will not fall into temptation"

A couple of things that struck me this morning from Luke. Jesus says to his disciples in 22:40 "Pray that you will not fall into temptation" ,  and then a few verses later while praying on the Mount of Olives Jesus, 'prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground'. (22:44)  His prayer was obviously quite intense and I thought how much of my prayer is so intense that my praying produces sweat?  But the prayer he said to the disciples was 'pray that you will not fall into temptation'.  And then again in verses 46 "Why are you sleeping?"  he asked them.  "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." This call to pray that we don't fall into temptation I believe is so needed.  It is when we pray that we realise the different areas that we have fallen into temptation in such seemingly little things, but over time they become big things.  We succumb to temptation in so many ways and somethi...

Latest Prayer Update

Since writing last – We continue to pray about the tent meeting but the Lord seems to continue to have that on hold as I believe he has another way of doing the same thing but in a new way where the whole body will be used and so we wait until all the pieces come together.   Please be patient with us in this. Africa – We continue to have words given to us about Africa and so the Lord is definitely talking about Africa but he seems to be widening the vision with it all, not just Malawi.   It seems more like at this stage visiting a number of African Countries wherever the Lord leads, empowering people – a bit like the last China trip but for longer and more countries and so too we wait for all the pieces to fit together.
