Are you feeling frustrated, discouraged, discontented - then be encouraged to keep going for at the proper time you WILL reap a harvest.

Many are the voices I am hearing of frustration, of when, of what is going on, of disappointment, of wanting more but getting discouraged but the Lord would say, do not give up in doing good for at the proper time you will reap a harvest - and I believe that harvest is not long off.  The enemy's tactics are to wear out the saints but I want to encourage you - keep going, don't give up, only believe.

In looking at why sometimes frustration etc is there, the Lord showed me that sometimes its because we are looking more at the dreams and visions we have that aren't being fulfilled than looking at the source of our true fulfillment which is only found in Jesus.  Philippians 3:7  ā€œBut whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ. ā€œ

Christ is our reward not the dreams and visions that we are awaiting on from which our disappointment, frustration etc. can often come.   If we are seeing and focusing more of the promises then we have lost sight of our true reward.   He is the total fulfillment in all of life and without him we have nothing.

So lets keep sight of our true reward but also to keep faith and belief in the promises he has given.

Frustration, disappointment, discouragement etc. actually are good things, they pushes us into the next thing.  You realise you are not satisfied with where things are at and so you desire and pursue questions as to why you are not seeing what you want to see.  The problem comes when we don't listen to the answer we may receive and do what the Lord says to do.  Or we settle where things are at and fall into a satisfied or resolved position which steps us out of faith and keeps us where we are at but no longer as a people of faith and belief in the God of the impossible.    There is always more I believe in the Lord for me and for those around me as I learn to walk from ā€˜glory to gloryā€™.  I had this question in Africa when I said to the Lord, "I want to see more" and he said ā€œWell Sarah step out more and pray for that one with the club foot on crutches that seems impossible".  So I had to action what I believed the Lord said.    Whatever the Lord reveals is the reason for our frustration or sense of discouragement or discontentment, we need to do something with what he shows us in order for things to change because the problem lies with us and not with God.  God can and will do what he says he will do, he cannot lie, but there may be things hindering us in receiving everything we want.

I had a dream a couple of months ago and it was of a power boat that was tied up on shore and this boy said he could drive the power boat but when he jumped in and started it, it took off and spun out of control tipping up the people in the boat and causing damage.  We often think we are ready and can handle the power of God, but like any good father, he is not going to give you the keys of the car if you don't know how to drive :)  We first need to learn to drive the car before we can be entrusted with the car on our own.  Our daughter is learning to drive the car at the moment and is currently on a learners license and then she will progress to the restricted and then to the full.  In the weekend Jim taught her how to change a tyre, check the oil etc. and they were the rules for her before she was allowed to go for her restricted license so that if she were driving on her own she could handle some of things that are associated with the car on her own.  We are so often wanting to get in and drive the car, drive the power boat, thinking we can handle it but there are things we need to learn first before being entrusted with that power so that others will not get hurt in the process.

We need to be life long learners and so I would encourage you if you are in a place of frustration, discontentment, discouraged, or whatever, firstly give thanks in all circumstances which encourages you to see that Jesus is working and takes your focus back to him rather than the dreams and visions which you aren't yet seeing fulfilled but will happen as you delight yourself in him (Psalm 37).  Secondly ask the questions for your frustration etc and then listen to the answer from the Lord and then action what he says and allow patience to have its perfect work in you so that you will be lacking nothing and fully equipped for every good work (James 1:2-4)  that the Lord would have you step into.

Obedience and Commitment are big things in Gods Kingdom

Reading in Acts 7 this morning the story through Stephen of Abraham being told by God to " Leave your country and your people and go the the land I will show you"   So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living.  He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground.  But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land, even though at that time Abraham had no child." As I reflected on this and the journey of Abraham stepping out in faith into a land that he received no inheritance in but a promise of what was to come for his descendants of which we live in the fruit of that, I thought of todays generations in which often is only doing things that we want to do or that will benefit us personally as we live for 'today' not worrying about tomorrow.  A sense of if it feels good then do it, if it doesn't then we will move on -  perhap...

Don't worry, you wont miss the bus.

Last night I had this dream and there were a bunch of people at my house and we all decided to go somewhere by bus.  Because we had to lock up the house, Jim and I missed the bus, while the others managed to make it.  I found myself getting a little frustrated with Jim as he seemed to be so slow in locking everything up.  Jim & I got there just in time to see their bus drive away.  We were left standing in the rain.  But then the thinking came, its alright, we will just catch the next bus. Some of us may feel at times like we have missed our opportunity.  That we have missed what The Lord would have us do, and in that we can get a little frustrated by people around us and even perhaps blame people for where things are at, at least I know I do at times. :)  But I believe The Lord wants to encourage people today, including myself, that you don't need to worry, just rest and be at peace and  you will soon get another opportunity.  Like wa...

Last of the Summer Wine

On Wednesday night we had a gathering and the word of the Lord that came through was the "last of the summer wine" and there was this huge sense of shift in the spiritual realm.  That the things that had been, had come to an end.  That it was the ending of one season and that things would be very different in the future. Where God had been growing us, maturing us, teaches us to really love one another in the small and the sense of family that had been built was never going to be the same again. That there was a time for thankfulness of all that had been in the 'stretching and growing' and a word came saying that season of "Peters' being released was the new things.  Peter whose shadow healed people as he walked, that as a people we would see things happen for us all as we walked with the presence of God overflowing and out of us that we would see lives changed in the marketplaces. In the last week we have seen the 'open door' that we have been pra...

Vision for the Puketaha Hall Gatherings

Vision for the Puketaha Hall Gatherings ā€“       Family Gatherings ā€“ The new but old interpretation of Church? Last night I had a dream and in this dream I saw what I believed the Lord is saying for the gatherings on the Wednesday nights. I saw a motel room and as we were preparing one of our friends came in and had a bath and she was naked but happily having a bath in front of me.  Then one by one, different people came in, family came in and began gathering.  My sister came in carrying a brand new baby, which we were all so excited about because it was brand new.  Others came and gathered that we had not expected and hadnā€™t seen for a while and we were so thrilled to see them. The youth had been at something else but were still here and they came. So I believe the gatherings at Puketaha hall will be like going to a motel for a family gathering where you all come from different places and join for an event. A...

One step forward, two steps backward?

A few nights ago I had this dream where I saw some friends of mine they had put their house on the market, sold it, but shortly after selling went and bought back the original property that they had sold.   The house had been upgraded slightly in the process but I thought what a waste of money and time because it had cost them so much in the buying and selling of properties through the real estate agent only to go back to the original house. I believe the Lord is wanting to say something here to His people.  The Lord is shifting us out of the old season and into the new, and in the process of taking us from one thing to another there is a cost at some level involved in letting go of the past.  Which you are happy to pay but after being out in a strange place for a little while, a perhaps unknown place, a place where perhaps you don't yet have all the answers, it is easy to revert to what we have known in the past, what we have been familiar with and fall back into old h...

Pardon me, my Lord but.....

It's been a challenging few days as I have sat and questioned the Lord on many things. Like Gideon in chapter 6:13 where he writes:      "Pardon me, my lord," But if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?  Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, 'Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?  But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian." The Lord turned to him and said, " Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand.  Am I not sending you?' Pardon me, my lord,"  Gideon replied, "but how can I save Israel?  My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family."  The Lord answered, " I will be with you and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive." But in the asking and seeking come the answers.  If Gideon can ask the questions so can you and I.  If our God is a covenant God who is faithful t...
