My reward is with my God.

This morning I was reading from Isaiah 49 and a lot of it jumped out at me but something that I want to share with you is how often we do things for the Lord, unto and for man, and it can seem like it can go unnoticed, unrecognised or thanked.  It can be as though we have done stuff for nothing.  We may see no change in people through our prayers or effort and we can get discouraged for all that we do and sometimes we may even stop helping people because there is no thanks etc. Isaiah 49:4  But I said, "I have laboured in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing at all. And that is how it feels at times and yet in the next verse is the encouragement and the reminder that I want to bring, rather that the Lord encouraged me with this morning that may encourage you. "Yet what is due me is in the Lord's hand, and my reward is with my God." So as a reminder especially this Christmas as we give of ourselves for others and it may 'cost' a lot, rememb...

Let's not be a 'passerby' this Christmas

If you were to see a car accident happen would you stop and help the people in the car or would you drive by believing that others will help them and keep going to where you were headed? This morning I was woken by a request by the pastor in India where we visited three years ago requesting help for the orphanage and daily needs as they were struggling and I thought of the dream I had this morning about a car accident that had happened and those that walked by.  For many of us every day things have happened to the people around us that need our help in some way. The Lord took me to James 2:5  "Listen my dear brothers and sisters:  Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?  But you have dishonoured the poor.....  v14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such faith save them?  Suppose a br...

I will see the goodness of the Lord

This morning I keep thinking about this scripture from Psalm 27:13: "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord  in the land of the living" I wonder if this is more a present reality on a daily basis if we choose to, rather than something we are waiting to see?  If we have the mind of Christ and everything He made is good, then we should be seeing according to the mind of Christ so therefore everything is good? I wonder if our mindset is one, if you are anything like me, we are programmed by the worlds ways to see the negative, rather than the positive.  And so we need to train ourselves and discipline ourselves to see the good in everything.  To take captive every thought that does not line up to Christ, means to take captive those things that do not speak life, hope and future over ourselves and others. So I wonder and am coming to believe, that we have a choice today to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, not...

But one sinner destroys much good

This morning I was reading from Ecclesiastes 9 about wisdom and in verse 18 it says: "Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good." I have been journeying the learning of wisdom in leadership for a number of years now and it's challenging.  I have made many mistakes and continue to as I learn to balance scripture, of interpreting of what is right and wrong, of when and if to speak, of being patient and learning what is love and what is discipline.  When to overlook an offence and when to say enough is enough.  We all ask the Lord for more, but in the 'more', what it often means is we have to learn to 'love' more and see as Jesus would see, and speak as Jesus would speak. These past weeks I have got very 'discouraged' as I go to Christian meetings and 'see' the heart of man that has judgement toward me, people who cannot look at me because of the offence in their heart. Or hear of people still slanderi...

Christmas Gifts Fundraiser

We are excited to be able to share with you some of the dreams and visions that God has given us for a long time now which are beginning to come into fruition. The calendar are photos I have taken throughout the years in mission, faces of the nations.  It is my desire it would be a prayer calendar both for the nations and for the ministry. The wheat bags are the product of the beginning of the sewing business believing to create small business ideas for those in need so that as a body we lack nothing and have something to share. It is hoped that we will train others in sewing to be able to help themselves create a small income. These are just two of the ideas that we have been able to step into and believe to see these grow into more business ideas and opportunities. Please support us as we sow into what we believe God would have us do. Blessings - Sarah and the team

A season of breakthrough

I don't know about you but there have been promises and dreams that we have been waiting to come to pass for a long time and as I wrote my report last night for our board meeting, the Lord showed me all the things that we are seeing breakthrough in and a stepping into the promises long held onto. He showed me the exciting season we are in and I believe as a body of Christ, that we are walking into.   Keep going through the storms as its like the final birth pains for the things we have been believing for are breaking forth. Creativity is being released Promises are being released,  Joy is being released,  Authority is being released.  Firstly take a moment and write down all that is happening because often stuff is happening and we are not taking hold of what is actually going on in the midst of daily life that we get caught up in.  The 'wins' if you like as it will encourage you. Secondly let me encourage you to keep going as all His promises ...

Sowing our seeds of discontent

In reflection This morning the Lord is showing me through the book of Numbers 21:4-10 how easily when things don't go as planned how we sow our seeds of discontent, our seeds of discouragement and start to blame and point the finger at perhaps those who are leading us, our spouses, our parents, our boss. Here is the story of Moses leading the people through to the promised land but in order to get there they had to go around Edom and they grew impatient in the process and started to speak against God and against Moses.   "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness?  There is no bread!  There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!" Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them, they bit the people and many Israelites died. The people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you.  Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us".  So Moses prayed for the people. We reap what w...

They closed their ear to me....

As a parent we give advice to our children so that they will not come to harm, we want to see them prosper in all they do.  So too, the Lord, our Father, has given us and continues to give us advice through wisdom and understanding that comes from others, and through the word of God, so we will not be harmed and prosper in all we do.  But so often like teenagers, we don't want to listen to our parents, we want to do it our own way and in so doing sometimes learn the hard way. I don't know about you but there are many things that the Lord has spoken to me through others and through His word, that I have not heard the first, second, or third time,  and it's not until something happens do we 'seek' council and actually have ears to hear what others are saying to us. Wisdom and understanding are all around us all of the time, but so often we are not ready to hear it until something happens and we search out the 'why'.  Like the warnings to have a disaster pa...

A message from Mozambique

Dear friends, I write this from Beira Mozambique where the major disaster stuck only a couple of months and as we walk around and see the effects of the damage but also the resiliency in people, we realise just how blessed we are in so many ways that we take for granted on a daily basis. A word that the Lord has given while here is one from Genesis 21:14-20.  It is the story of Hagar and her son Ishmael being sent away into the desert from Abraham and Sarah.  It must have seemed for Hagar that everything that she had believed in, hoped for in the promise of her son, had just fallen apart as Abraham sends her away.  In verse 15 the water she had was gone and she sat down away from her son so she wouldn't see him die.   Because to her there was no hope left. But in v17 God hears the boy crying and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, " What is the matter, Hagar?  Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. ...

Have you been asking for a shift and don't know how to do it?

Over the course of the past few days I saw a couple of pictures I would like to share. 1.  I saw a real estate agent coming and helping prepare to shift a person.  The person had lots of rubbish to deal with that needed to be put in black rubbish bags and taken out.  I kept coming along and checking on the progress.  Initially the real estate agent had a suit and tie on but as he put his hand in to help the person get ready for the shift, he took more and more clothes off as he was  mucking in and helping doing the work.  Eventually all the rubbish had been cleared up and taken out and the real estate agent turned round to the person on the couch and gave him some money. 2.  I saw a bunch of people all standing together in the water, but the water wasn't moving, the people weren't moving and like any pool of water if you stand in the pool for a long time without movement you get cold.  I saw myself getting out of the pool and moving on be...

Four visions I share this morning:

Rubbish & Fruitfulness,  Spiritual Deception,  Open Door for Ministry and New Doors,  Solid food and abundance. Last night I had a series of visions which I share with you as one may be a word in season for you.  I haven't added scriptures at this point to back them up because I am preaching in church this morning and need to keep going.   But if you want to know more about any of them, or they speak to you, or you want scripture that speaks to all of these (as it does for each situation), then please feel free to email me on sarah@gloryreleaseministries.org and I can pray into with you. 1.     Getting rid of the rubbish.  A time of removal of the things that clutter up your lives. A time where you get rid of things you no longer need, that are broken, no longer working etc in order to become more fruitful. I saw a picture of a car and trailer going to get rid of the rubbish and man opening a path on the highway in order...

You will be hated by everyone - oh yay!

I am reading some 'meaty' scriptures this morning from Matt 10 v16  "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.  Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.  Be on your guard, you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. ....v22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."  v26  "So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known. v32  "Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my father in heaven." For many I believe we have this image that in Christ and in His love and showing his love to all around that it is just going to be wonderful.  But what I have found, and perhaps this is just my experience, but the more I have gone deeper in the Lord, in His love, the...

This Easter "Go again"

To watch the live message preached, click on this link Are you feeling discouraged, tempted to give up on what the Lord has told you, 'believing and yet not really believing' because you haven't yet seen the promise in which the Lord has given you.   Perhaps for healing, for your children, for your ministry? I want to encourage you this morning "Go again", don't give up, the promise is on the way. "Though there be no fruit on the vine, yet will I rejoice in the Lord." (Ham 3:17) There is this sense for some that it's been a hard long road and it feels like there is no fruit from all the labour, yet the Lord would say to you this morning "Go again" .  Don't give up, keep going. Like Elijah who in 1 Kings 18:41-45 tells the story of hearing the rain coming in a time where there was a drought and yet he heard the sound.  "Go and look toward the sea"... "There is nothing there"....Elijiah said "Go back...

Our words create our worlds

Last week I had a vision and I saw fire coming up from the ground and water coming from the sky, it was chaos and people were running for their lives as disaster struck. I was asking the Lord about it as it felt like judgement coming and I was trying to reconcile judgement with my God that I know who loved the world so much that he sent his only son to die for us not to condemn the world but to save the world, and he said to me - Sarah "your words create your world."   Everything God created was good and in Genesis we see God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth.  And through Jesus, God has given us authority and dominion over the earth, the same authority he gave Jesus now lives in us to those who believe.  And I realised that as a people we can reap what we sow in respect of our words.  The power of the tongue is powerful, it either tears down or builds up, life and death is on the power of the tongue.  In John 1:14  "The Word became flesh ...

Aphids and Slugs - Resisted or Received?

Morning. The last week or so I have had some very powerful pictures through my garden and life in which the Lord used to speak to me that I would like to share. The first picture: While caring for my roses, I notice that one particular rose is not doing well and I see aphids and disease on the plant and so I spray it again hoping that it will kill what is attacking them.  A week later I see it has not been effective and so I am prompted to try another different form of disease killer, an oil rather than the pesticide, and the Lord speaks to me; "Sarah, what was used in the last season, won't work for this new season". We are in a different season, and the way we ministered or dealt with things in the past, won't work in this new season we are in.  The reason being we (as a people) have become 'familiar' with the styles and ways of ministering and hence the 'enemy' is already aware of it and becomes 'resistant' to it. A bit like how...
