Are you tired, worn out and needing encouragement right now? It's house makeover time!

I had a dream a few nights ago and in this dream I saw an old house, worn out, tired and run down which I believe represents much of the church (the people, not the building) and yet its structures and foundations were still good, they just needed refreshing and repainting and updating.
After seeing the house, I then saw all these famous people come, (there was this sense they had been before) they were people full of joy, real characters, like Robin Williams, Walt Disney, and others, and they came and did up the house, helping getting it back to on track and when it was back on track and a fresh injection of life had come, they left.

I believe this is a picture of many at the moment, tired, rundown and feeling a bit worn out from the last season, but be encouraged, there are things that are still good in your life, there are good solid foundations and I believe the Lord is going to send his angels to help in the renewing and refreshing process, angels of joy and hope, to restore what has been lost. I believe God wants to restore what has been lost, to refresh and bring new hope to the hopeless.
Along with this picture, the other day I had another picture and I saw all these cars lined up, being serviced and then going through a ‘valet’ process and this is similar to the refreshing and renewing above.
People are being ‘serviced’ and ‘spruced up’, renewed and restored and shining once again.

So if that is you, don’t stress, just relax and allow God to do the work you cannot do.

My prayer for you.May the Lord release refreshment, restoration, joy, hope and life to you today in the name of Jesus. May he restore what has been lost in the last season, may he refresh you with by His spirit, may he restore child like faith and that you would be full of life once again in him, to the glory of His name.

"I am ruined for the ordinary"

“I am ruined for the ordinary” A statement that can possibly be to some, come from a place of judgement, or it can be from a place of there is more in the Kingdom of God that I am yet to experience or understand, revelation that I have tasted of something that actually shows me that I have not tasted of anything yet. A place where there is such a contentment and joy in what I have seen and longed to see and yet a revelation that there is way more "beyond what I think, ask and imagine" (Eph 3:20) and one that spurs me on to seek and discover all the fullness that could be ours in the Kingdom of God. When we as Christians see other Christians going places or experiencing things that we don’t understand or perhaps we have not yet moved in, we can either become jealous of that person and judge and bring them down to our level, exclude them from our lives or we can choose to be excited by what is happening and be encouraged and spurred on in the Lord for the more than ca...

Obedience and Commitment are big things in Gods Kingdom

Reading in Acts 7 this morning the story through Stephen of Abraham being told by God to " Leave your country and your people and go the the land I will show you" So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living. He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground. But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land, even though at that time Abraham had no child." As I reflected on this and the journey of Abraham stepping out in faith into a land that he received no inheritance in but a promise of what was to come for his descendants of which we live in the fruit of that, I thought of todays generations in which often is only doing things that we want to do or that will benefit us personally as we live for 'today' not worrying about tomorrow. "A man's enemies will be the members of his own household" Matt 10:36

Recently we have been pondering how to deal with situations in our family that don't line up with the word. What action do we need to take? Are we being too harsh? Do we accept the behaviour or be considered by those around us as "too radical" or "too black and white"? "Where is grace in all of this? How do we love the sinner but hate the sin? What about forgiveness? What is the role of discipline? What makes that sin any worse than lying? What is true love? And there are a lot more questions going through the mind in how to work through this and know God's will and desire for the situation and the person. And firstly to say we have not come to any conclusions and are growing and learning day by day in this but I want to throw it out there. Go in and possess the land!

The Lord has been talking to me this morning through the book of Deuteronomy and some gems I would like to share: Chapter one Deut 1:6 “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain, turn and take your journey.....” (This\these is/are not the full scripture/s but they are what jumped out and spoke to me) It is time to turn and take our journey. Many times we go around the same mountains but the Lord says, now turn and take your journey. It is a time of stepping out and into a new place with the Lord. Things are changing and shifting and we cannot continue to stay in the same places that we have been travelling as it is a new day and we have to leave the old behind and move into the new the Lord has for us, even though it may be a little scary as it is not familiar, or we don’t know the way forward, but we need to come to a place of trust in the Lord and move into what He has for us and not continue going around and around the same things that we have been going around and around in. ...

There is an army rising up!

Are you struggling in your family? Are you struggling with people in the body of Christ? Keep going in love and you will see the breakthroughs you long for. Over the past few months the Lord has been showing me some scenes where the enemy has been trying to attack and destroy families, and so I believe it is a time where we need to be alert of the devils schemes and counter attack with the truth and the love of God. Three areas we ourselves as a ministry are currently contenting for breakthrough in are: 1. the unity of the body of Christ, 2. for whole families to come to Christ 3. for mental health issues to be overcome .... and so of course the enemy wants to come and try and destroy in whatever way He can within churches, within families, in individuals and so I/we need to be alert to the schemes of the enemy. Perhaps a change of perspective might be needed

This morning I had a dream and in the dream I saw I was shifting a nest of blackbirds as they were in a bad place that was going to get destroyed shortly, but as I went to shift them, the Father of the babies came and tried to attack me. I wasn't going to hurt them, just shift them so they wouldn't get damaged. Of course the Father was just trying to protect what was his and thought I was bringing harm to his family, but actually my intent was to help them. Often we can have the wrong mindset about a situation as illustrated by this picture. Both had the intent of heart to help and protect, but because of the mindset of how we see things, often our reactions comes from our point of view without even taking the time to understand why another is doing what they are doing. 2 Cor 2:10 "The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
