I preached a message the other Sunday evening about learning to judge from God’s perspective and not as the world judges (Isaiah 11:3-4) “He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears, but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.” So many of us judge by our ‘natural’ eyes, we judge by what we see and hear and not judge according to what we see and hear ‘in the spirit’, or out of a ‘pure’ heart.  Our judgement is often coloured by the lens that we are wearing of our life experiences, our life hurts etc instead of seeing and judging as God sees.   But something that struck me as I preached and was like a ‘bomb’ in the spirit was out of 1 Corinthians 6:7-8 and it reverberated the following day with the power of the revelation that came with it.  Take the time to read from the beginning of 1 Cor 6 as it will bring context, but verses 7-8 are these; “The very ...

Something the Lord talked about recently was about 'coveting' and the definition of this is:   "to feel strong or immoderate desire for" "to wish for something longingly" "yearn to possess something especially something belonging to another”. In my vision that led me to thinking about coveting, I saw someone coveting their future but someone else was living in that place already and they had to wait.  Often we may find ourselves coveting those people who have where we believe we are 'going to be' in the Lord.  The promise the Lord has given us. Perhaps that might be the future promise of children that we don't yet have, the future promise of a house, the future promise of those spiritual leaders we admire but perhaps we are longing to be now. Last night in a vision I saw several small individual planes trying to fly but as they took off they ended up crashing and burning. I believe there are believers in the Lord who are moving in the gifts of the spirit and think that because they are moving in the gifts of the spirit that they have it sorted and they don’t need anybody else and they can just take off. I  believe in that ‘takeoff’ it will be short lived.   There are things you still need to learn. We can have all the gifts and those gifts build us up in God and it is easy to become prideful when working in the ‘gifts of the spirit’.   But the gifts and the anointings that the Lord gives us are freely given, but we need to learn how to love, because as it says in 1 Cor 13, we can have all the gifts, but if we have not love, it profit us nothing. I had a dream this morning where I saw that I was working in a cafe.   It was busy, there were people coming and going and we didn’t have everything we needed, we still needed a barista, some customers were helping cook the steak for the hamburgers that Jim was cooking as Jim was rushed off his feet. We needed people to serve the people coming in as I was dealing with all the different ones coming and going.   I saw that people were sitting down in a seat but actually weren’t there to get food, they were just using the seats even though they were not using the cafe.   I saw a council officer come in to inspect things and she saw we still needed a barista and she knew people and was going to help us to find one. There was an older man there who was smoking a cigar and I was keen to have a drag off his cigar. People were wandering through our private home at the back of the cafe.   The cafe remained open because people kept coming.   But I was shown that if I did...

Do you go out fishing on a boat without a life jacket? Do you go out on the water unprepared for what may happen? And yet for many Christians this is the state of their Christian walk, they are not prepared for what may come and so when things go wrong they have not spent the time in the word of God, which teaches them truth so that when the enemy comes in like a flood and overwhelms them, they have no where to go except down, because the belt of Truth is like our safety be lt that holds us up when the flood threatens to overwhelm us. Truth is the word of God, truth sets us free, truth brings us life and helps us discern what is of God and what is not of God. Do we want blessing for our nation? Do we want our nation blessed and one that stands out from the rest? Reading Mal 3:6 this morning and it is a powerful scripture about why we may not see the blessing of God on our nation as it could be. I felt I needed to share this testimony as it is just awesome and explains the gospel so clearly and God's love for us.
