I had a dream this morning where I saw that I was working in a cafe.   It was busy, there were people coming and going and we didn’t have everything we needed, we still needed a barista, some customers were helping cook the steak for the hamburgers that Jim was cooking as Jim was rushed off his feet. We needed people to serve the people coming in as I was dealing with all the different ones coming and going.   I saw that people were sitting down in a seat but actually weren’t there to get food, they were just using the seats even though they were not using the cafe.   I saw a council officer come in to inspect things and she saw we still needed a barista and she knew people and was going to help us to find one. There was an older man there who was smoking a cigar and I was keen to have a drag off his cigar. People were wandering through our private home at the back of the cafe.   The cafe remained open because people kept coming.   But I was shown that if I did...

Do you go out fishing on a boat without a life jacket? Do you go out on the water unprepared for what may happen? And yet for many Christians this is the state of their Christian walk, they are not prepared for what may come and so when things go wrong they have not spent the time in the word of God, which teaches them truth so that when the enemy comes in like a flood and overwhelms them, they have no where to go except down, because the belt of Truth is like our safety be lt that holds us up when the flood threatens to overwhelm us. Truth is the word of God, truth sets us free, truth brings us life and helps us discern what is of God and what is not of God. Do we want blessing for our nation? Do we want our nation blessed and one that stands out from the rest? Reading Mal 3:6 this morning and it is a powerful scripture about why we may not see the blessing of God on our nation as it could be. I felt I needed to share this testimony as it is just awesome and explains the gospel so clearly and God's love for us. A word that has been coming through quite loudly from the Lord I believe is, “Connect” Like a caravan without a car, in the open when a storm comes, the caravan without the car cannot move to safe place out of the storms without being connected to the caravan and when the storms come, they become exposed and vulnerable to the elements and can often be overtaken or overturned. I believe there are many in the body of Christ who for whatever reason have become ‘disconnected’ from the body of Christ, perhaps because of distraction and simply becoming too busy.  I believe the Lord would remind you today and in this season particularly, to make sure you are connected in some way to others in the body of Christ.  It is easy to get distracted but I encourage you today to put things in place to keep those connections not only with the Lord, but with people in the body of Christ, who will be there for you when things are tough.  We need each other in the body of Christ, we...

I had a dream a few nights ago and in this dream I saw an old house, worn out, tired and run down which I believe represents much of the church (the people, not the building) and yet its structures and foundations were still good, they just needed refreshing and repainting and updating. After seeing the house, I then saw all these famous people come, (there was this sense they had been before) they were people full of joy, real characters, like Robin Williams, Walt Disney, and others, and they came and did up the house, helping getting it back to on track and when it was back on track and a fresh injection of life had come, they left.   I believe this is a picture of many at the moment, tired, rundown and feeling a bit worn out from the last season, but be encouraged, there are things that are still good in your life, there are good solid foundations and I believe the Lord is going to send his angels to help in the renewing and refreshing process, angels of joy and hope, t...

How do you share the gospel with non-believers?   For many people they struggle with how to share their faith with those around them and so  I would like to share some simple things that help me in sharing the gospel with the people I come in contact with, that may or may not help you. 1.   Relationship Firstly the only way to share anything with someone is through relationship.   Showing that you care for them as a person not just as someone to convert.    They matter, as a person, and that you want to help them in their situation.   You need to meet them where they are at and relate to them on their level. For example; years ago we lived in Mahoenui, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night a man and his girlfriend turned up at our doorstep in the middle of a domestic dispute where he was drinking and being abusive and she was afraid.   To meet him where he was at and to listen to him and cool the situation down, when he off...
