Is it tough going at the moment? Are there giants in the land?

A few nights ago I had this dream where I saw many big ugly giants and vines trying to stop my way through to where I needed to go.  They were blocking my way through.  But there were two others with me and we slowly worked our way to the front of the line of giants and then we needed to go up higher through like a manhole up into the next level to get away from the giants.  All the giants too were trying to get higher as well.  As the three of us together helped each other we could get above and into the next level but the giants that were there trying in their own strength to get to the next level, they could not reach it.

So many of us are trying to do things in our own strength and finding we are always falling short of what we see ahead of us, but at as we work together and help one another we can go places we never would be able to if we tried to on our own.

We are called to be overcomers in Christ, but we need each other to help us to go places we cannot go on our own.

The words says “we will be tested but when we are tested that the Lord will give us a way out to stand up under it” and as I said this scripture earlier this week, I realised the way to stand up under it is by seeing what the word says in your situation and acting upon it, because “thy word is a lamp unto your feet”, and it will guide you in the way you are to go.   Many of us go through trials and we look to everyone else, ask everyone else and the last place we often go to is to our heavenly Father for advice and counsel and that is what the word is, advice and counsel in direction of how you are to walk through particular situations.  For instance, if someone hits you on the cheek, offer him the other.  Opposite thinking to the worlds answers which would be that you deserve payback for any wrong done to you and so often we listen to the world’s advice in situations and not seek out the word which leads us in all truth and life.   It may take a place of humility to actually act out what the word says, for instance “pray for those who persecute you”, when you may just feel like hitting back at them.

So I really encourage you at the moment if you feel like there are some giants in the land and its tough going at the moment;
  1. Take some time, go to your Heavenly Father for advice and counsel, go to the word and see what it would say into your situation and act on it.
  2. Go to good God fearing people that will help you to be an overcomer together and not people who will necessarily agree with you but people that will speak truth into your life and into your situation who love you.  Don’t be an individual thinking you can do it on your own because that sort of thinking comes from a position of pride.
  3. Know that “we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us” and that He will give us the grace we need to walk through the situations we may face.

May the Lord lead and guide you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

From Revelation to Revelation

The Lord has been taking me on a journey lately that has challenged some of my thinking, challenged some of my belief systems in trying to bring together the word of God, the heart of God, and His unconditional love for his people and it is bringing me into such a freedom that I am so excited where the Lord may take this, I am so thankful to the Lord for this journey even though at times it has been very difficult.

As ministers of the gospel (of which we are all as Christians called to be), part of our job in the Lord is to as it is written in 2 Timothy 15 is to “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.
We are called to continually grow in our understanding, revelation and relationship with the Lord.  If we are remaining as we are ,then our relationship in the Lord is not a growing healthy one so anything that might challenge some of your thinking, challenge your walk in the Lord, is a good challenge.

Some of these challenges we may be presented with is our thinking on topics such as the homosexual issue, the government, justice, sex before marriage, finances, actually probably any topic where our perceived right and wrong is involved or areas you may be struggling in as you are still awaiting answers.
So how do we have our opinion on what we believe is right and wrong and yet still love and walk in relationship with the people we don’t necessarily agree with or even like?
The word talks about that we fight and quarrel because we don’t get what we want.
(James 3)  And so as christians who have freely given themselves over to a walk that follows Jesus walk, who laid down his life for a people who didn’t agree with him, who did not love his life so much as to shrink from death, that it brought life to those who didn’t deserve it, life to you and me, then what right do we have to hold onto our opinions, our self-righteousness of what is right and wrong and not be willing to follow Jesus example and give away our inheritance, our blessing, our rights to a people that we may not necessarily agree with or even like, as Jesus did.

It’s a good challenge because if we only love those who love us, or put another way if we only agree with those who agree with us, we will not be broadened or challenged in a way that will push us into Jesus for the answers that we seek and that is where we find true freedom in such a way that it changes the lives around us as we truly learn to love those who we may not in our own strength be able to love or agree with.

Love covers all and so I encourage you not to ‘run’ or ‘walk’ away from relationships simply because you may not totally agree with things, theology or anything else, but be willing to be a learner and to have your eyes opened to what Jesus might say into the situation, or do, as He is our example we are to follow.  There is so many answers found in Jesus that we will never stop learning and growing in Him and with those around us, if we only allow to ourselves to be teachable and ask Him for revelation and understanding on things.

Its a new day!

A new day dawning,
Hope is rising,
Faith restoring.......
What I believing the Lord is saying at the moment is that we are stepping into new things, that things once promised that have died, the Lord is resurrecting, but we have to let go of the past and move from the place we have been in to allow those promises and dreams to come into being. God has so much for us in the future "There is too much victory ahead of me, I am overwhelmed with His love for me"
The season we have been in is good, and has been great, a great place of intimacy with the beloved, a great place of learning, like the first house Jim and I were in after we were married, but it is time to move on, time to grow into maturity and walk in the promises the Lord has given each one of us from that place of intimacy and the knowing of who we are in Christ, alongside Christ, together in partnership with him and him alone. We are no longer dependant on man as our husband is our maker, he is our provider, that is Jesus Christ, and we step out by faith into all that he has spoken to us in the secret places of intimacy.
So I encourage you today to step out with your beloved by faith into those things he has put on your heart, knowing that he is more than able to do all that we think, ask or imagine.

For Glory Release Ministries, we are stepping out by faith in a few weeks into a new facility called THE LINK, it is a community and business centre on the corner of River Road and Te Aroha Street and we will begin our Wednesday nights gatherings held there from the 12th of July at 7:30. We will continue to hold Tuesday morning prayer meetings also held at The Link. We hope in the future to start a school of the spirit and believe the Lord is also preparing the way for a church to be planted as he brings the people with a heart to administer this. The Lord is opening the way for outreaches out and about and teams to go out into these and we would appreciate your prayer at the moment as the Lord is speaking currently about Waharoa, so please stand with us in prayer on all these things that the Lord has placed on our heart that he would provide the people to help build the house of the Lord and feed His sheep wherever he may lead us. It is a time of great harvest, ask the Lord therefore to send the labourers into the field. If there is something that the Lord may be speaking about that we can help each other see come about then we would love to hear from you. There are many opportunities to sow into the Kingdom, whether it be prayer, whether it be time, whether it be finances, whether it be a word of encouragement, every part is needed! Thank you for standing with us.
